Chicken Recipe (4) - Three Ingredient Soy Sauce Chicken

So sad that summer is over. With daylight saving, sunset seems so early. I had so much fun barbecueing chicken wings at the beach during summer. This three-ingredient soy sauce chicken was the most used form of marinate for my chicken wings. Overnight marinating would infuse more flavor into the chicken, but for this time round, I only marinated the chicken wings for 15 minutes or so. It still tasted great, eating in the comforts of home.


Ingredients (for 2 servings):

- 8 chicken wings (middle portion only or 4 whole chicken wings)
- 2 tbsp light soy sauce
- 1 tbsp dark soy sauce

Method:

1. Marinate the chicken wings in the light & dark soy sauce for at least 15 mins.

2. Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a saucepan. Medium heat.

3. Transfer the chicken wings into the saucepan and stir regularly to prevent the soy sauce from burning.

4. Chicken wings are cooked when no more oil oozes out.

Cooking Tips:

The dark soy sauce is used for coloring only. If too much dark soy sauce is used, it may burn if the oil is too hot and the chicken wings will not look nice.

    You know, I am also a chicken wing lover, and this one looks *swallow saliva* good ! Do you have those small (portable) BBQ grill ? BBQ those wings near a window (or balcony) during fall/winter ;p I prefer to BBQ during fall/winter coz’ the colder temp. make me yearn for BBQ (”heaty”) things more…

    I have a George Foreman grill. The smallest one. I grilled chicken wings on that before but the living room and dining room smelled of chicken the whole evening! Eeew!

    I know! I’ll place the grill outside on the balcony instead!!! :)
