5 Things You Don’t Know About Me: An Internet Meme

Tag:,

So, there is this “5 Things You Don’t Know About Me” Internet Meme making its rounds in blogosphere and it is spreading fast and furious. What is an Internet Meme? Can eat or not?

Then I found that it’s about blog-tagging other bloggers and have them share five things about themselves that relatively few people know. That’s kinda fun!

I got tagged by Tigerfish! So here goes:

1. I have read all four novels by Dan Brown - Da Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, Deception Point, Angels and Demons, have always wondered why he didn’t write more? The latest books I bought are no longer novels, but cookbooks and books on parenting.

2. My initial objective of starting this blog is to venture into Internet Marketing. However, the more I blogged, the more interested I got in researching on new recipes, cooking and recording my mom’s cooking techniques and tips. So the Internet Marketing thoughts have now taken a back seat. The important thing is that I am having fun now exploring more than Chinese recipes.

3. I don’t like licorice (aka liquorice), horseradish (except wasabi - Japanese horseradish) and beer (too gassy).

4. I’ve only ever pumped gas once so far. That was during the very first time I came to the US. I didn’t know that all gas stations are self-serviced. In Singapore, we have gas (petrol) attendants to help us. ;)

5. Two of my favorite quotes are: “There is no failure, only feedback” (Adam Khoo), “Do or do not, there is no try” (Yoda).

Now it’s my turn to tag! These are a few of the blogs I read:

Ken of Daddy Forever (one of the non-cooking blogs that I read)
The Baker of The Baker Who Cooks
Mae of Rice and Noodles
Sue of My Korean Kitchen
Pablo Pabla of Hochiak! Delicious Asian Food!

You are it! Do disclose 5 things about yourself and tag another 5 victims friends to pass on this labor of love.

[…] I got tagged by Simcooks and Chowtimes on this meme in a space of a week even before I could get mine done! It’s nice to know that people have you in mind…or rather, people are curious about you and want to know more about you. I shall try to keep this meme on food related stuff in line with keeping with the theme of this blog. Shall we start? […]

Looks like my last comment was caught in your spam filter. I mentioned how we can’t pump our own gas up here, which is really annoying when there are 8 cars waiting and only worker pumping. My 5 things are finally up.

NOBODY marks DaddyForever’s comment as spam. That’s a crime. I checked my spam filter. It wasn’t there. I always thought in the whole of USA all gas stations are self service. Looks like I may be able to survive in Oregon :)
