Fried mango makes me tango
I have tried fried Mars bar in Bondi Beach, Australia; fried green tea ice cream in some Japanese restaurants and fried bananas (also called goreng pisang) in Singapore.
So I thought how about fried mango?
I mixed some tempura flour with water to create a thin batter and then deep fried a few pieces of mango and shrimp (shrimp has been seasoned with a sprinkle of salt and pepper). Then I put them on a paper towel to soak up excess oil.
Surprisingly, they tasted pretty good! Like the shrimp and mango roll, you need to eat this immediately or they will turn soggy.
Oh, I confess. I don’t know how to tango. I’ve got two left feet.
Bite This!

Lucky you can get goreng pisang easily from most hawker centres. Maybe I’d make my own using the same tempura mix. But then again, where I live, I cannot find the small and sweet bananas. *sigh*
