Hi, I’m Yich, a Singaporean living in the Bay Area, California.

Ever since I moved out of my parent’s place in 2004, I took an interest in cooking.

Many methods of Chinese cooking came from my mom. She is an expert in cooking to provide servings for 1-4 people. I was surprised that the cooking skills are different when you cook for a smaller number of people, as compared to what I see in the Food Network channel when the cooks usually cook for 4-6 people.

I thought it would be a good idea to record the tips and tricks my mom taught me, hence I created this food / cooking blog.

Besides recording the tips from mom, I have also included some other easy recipes and cooking techniques for newbie cooks.

I hope you will enjoy what I have to share with you. Do feel free to leave comments and suggestions so that I can constantly be improving on the recipes as well as get new cooking ideas.
